Unexpected turns around every corner.....

Just checking back in with a quick update. Can NOT wait to post some beautiful baby shower madness, but first finishing up the rest of healing my girl back to health. After I got home from the super fun weekend with my sister and family, I came home to my 'baby' in a ton of pain and spiking a fever! :(  Soooo first thing Monday I was on the phone with the surgeon and he said to bring her right down to the ER. That was the start of another unexpected day in our life! After all day in the ER and lots of testing we were admitted AGAIN!  Hayley had a build up of fluid that looked like it was probably going to become a full abscess and she had some thickening of her colon. She has been hooked up to IV fluids, antibiotics and pain meds all week. It has literally been a LONG, exhausting and S. C. A. R. Y week and a roller coaster of emotions. I'm actually doing this post from the hospital room (it's now Friday....ugh) She is doing 100% better than she was and that is such a relief. We are crossing our fingers and toes to get discharged today but if we don't it will definitely be tomorrow. I'm just happy that she is on the mend. I totally was NOT ready for that twist and turn of events! I'm ready to get back to our 'normal', hmm...ok well whatever normal is...LIFE! Back to photography, back to school shopping, my first wedding in PA in 14 days!!!! Eeekkk!!!! Sooo excited for that wedding! Be back soon with a stunning senior session and the beautiful Baby Shower for my little niece or nephew! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! (oh, and THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to all our family for taking care of our little man during this week and to all of our friends all over who sent their love and well wishes! We are soooo very lucky to have all of you in our life whether you are near or far) XO
