Going Away Party....12 year old style! ;)

It has been an insanely hectic couple weeks, but we managed to throw Miss Hayley a Going Away Sleepover Party with all her besties!!! It was a night full of cackling (hellllooo they are 12!!!), yelling, texting (because man is this a different world now with all of the technology), photobooth fun, pizza and sundaes!

She was such a happy girl and I'm so thrilled we were able to squeeze this in for her and we were PLEASANTLY surprised when there was NO. DRAMA. WHATSOEVER!!!! Like not one bit. No 'they are ignoring me', 'she called me this or that'.....NOTHING!!! What a PERFECT group of girls!!!! Momma got to bring out the camera WITHOUT protest...which I LOVE! Still need to blog our last trip to Sedona...call me a slacker....I keep having to stop and pack crap!!! ;)  My goal is to finish those pics this week!

It's definitely been a tearful few days as we come down to the wire, but seeing these pics of these girls having so much fun warms my heart to know she had such meaningful friendships here in AZ. XO

Thank you Celeste, Christiana, Eris & Brittney for being such great friends to Hayley! We will MISS you all!

Seriously...NOTHING makes me happier....

I did IT!!! I CRACKED!!! After saying I was done with shoots now since we will be moving very soon (which mind you is 16 days away!!! What the!!??), I cracked when sweet Mari called me on Super Bowl Sunday and asked me if there was any way possible I could photograph her brand new bundle of love!!! Um...how could one possibly say NO to that request when I had done her belly photos!!!?? I couldn't. I immediately got PUMPED! I even got to purchase 2 precious crowns from a fellow photographer out here after scoping them out on her page and falling madly. in. love with them! Thank you sooo much h.k. lamb photographie!

This shoot seriously sparked something in me. With all the phone calls, emails, hustle and bustle of moving (and the STRESS) and the lull in shoots due to the move, I've been kinda down. Presto!!! Another shoot gave me the opportunity to do what I am completely passionate about....PHOTOGRAPHY and an added bonus...a NEWBORN shoot..yum!! Just having the camera in my hand brings such a smile to my face and all of the positive, sweet, uplifting words reminded me why I do what I do and how far I have come. This was just the kick in the butt I needed to keep my chin up and remind myself that I can do whatever I put my mind to with the support of my amazing hubby, family and friends.

Thank you so much to the GORGEOUS Poole girls for welcoming me into their home and spending the morning with me! This shoot holds a special place in my heart. I am in LOVE with all of the photos from this shoot...like a MAD CRUSH!!!  XO

Fun Times with the Claiborne Family!!!

Seriously...I. AM. ON. A. ROLL...with blogging that is!!! ;) I'm determined to keep plugging away with the posting of my sessions from the end of 2012, so I am BACK with one of the most memorable shoots I think I will EVER have.

I am lucky enough to have met the Claibornes when our sons were just little men on the soccer team together and since then, they were blessed with 2 more little men...twins!!!! It was funny because Mom was all stressed before hand thinking that nothing was going to go as 'planned' and well of COURSE it doesn't go as planned and that's the fun of it. After assuring her that first off I am not all 'posey posey' (yes I made that lingo up, original, I know!) and second off, they will be FINE, she seemed ready for the shoot!!

Once we got to the location and I got my running shoes on comfortable and quickly learned what made those handsome little guys tick, it was an ABSOLUTE blast!!! The laughs were endless, the embarrassment, well that I will NEVER forget and um, sorry, that is just between me and the Claiborne family. Some things are sacred ya know! ;) Needless to say I am feeling super special to have yet another fabulous client and I am totally LOVING all of their photos! I can't thank you enough Julie, Steve, Jaxon, Grayson & Hudson...you all were AMAZING!! XO
