Woo Hoo!!!

So I have been super busy..it's the kids last week of school so tons going on!!! THRILLED and over the moon that my biopsy results came back good....she just said now that we know it's in your family keep a regular eye out and be in tune with everything. OKEY DOKEY!!! Done! I will!!! My healing is going well so I am a happy little lady!!

That was 2 months of pure hell, unknowns, worrying that I am more than happy to be DONE and over with!!! Thank you to all my friends and family for their love and support!!! You are all wonderful!!

I met with a new client last night and am totally stoked for something COMPLETELY different for my portfolio!! Should be doing that shoot tomorrow night, so keep you posted on that!

Well this is short today...off to a dr appt for my son and an end of school party at Pump it Up (i may need tylenol for that! LOL)

Today is the Day

It's Tuesday....I have been waiting for this day since last Wednesday!!! Biopsy results today!!! Ready to get them and move on.

Also sooo ready to get back to my camera, photography class and photo shoots!!! Pretty excited..I have a meeting with a new client tomorrow to go over some commercial photography work she needs done for her new business!!!! Woo Hoo!!!

Saturday brings me 2 yes....TWO photo shoots!!!!! (imagine a happy dance here!)  

And in normal following of our CCCRRRAAAZZZYYY life......we have some big changes that may be happening to our family by the. end. of. summer!!!!! Stay tuned for more on that!!!!

On ending there are only 4 days until our Wine Tour excursion with our friends!!!!! Bring on the VINO!!!!

No More Mopey Mondays!

I'm back....It was a ROUGH week since Wednesday but I am finally starting to feel like myself again.

I'm not going to do the regular Mopey Mondays because my main thing is that my surgery went well and that I'm ready to be past this whole thing.  I go back Tuesday and have to get my incision drained...FUN, huh!!?? : (   And more importantly I will get my biopsy results back!!!!

I have an appointment with a new client on Wednesday to discuss some commercial photography she needs done, I have to get the wedding photos onto a disc for the wedding photog, 2 shoots this Saturday....I am soooo READY to be back in a relationship with my CAMERA....sad, I know, but that's my life peeps!!!!

Thank you for everyone who called, texted, emailed and just sent happy positive thoughts!!!!

Random Ramblings

Let's see...not sure if I have much to ramble about...but I'm gonna give it a try....

1.  I have been scrambling now for 2 weeks straight and FINALLY am feeling like I am getting caught up....well hopefully anyway!

2.  I had a last minute shoot last night doing head shots for a lovely lady who has just become a Realtor. Congrats to her and I think we got some GREAT shots!!!! :)

3.  Cheer Photos got DELIVERED and I'm feeling pretty. darn. good about how they turned out!!! Hoping the parents feel the same way....LOL

4.  FINALLY....started cleaning my dirt ball of a house! (and anyone who knows me, knows that that is NOT typically me, but I have been soooo busy that is the first thing that got 'swept' under the carpet....pun intended!) LOL.....Doing the upstairs today so I am DONE for this week!!! Yay me!

5.  Started editing our Vegas photos and my little Melissa, if you are reading this....I know you are THRILLED to hear that!! (She may or may not have told me I have become the mechanic who has the broken down car...now I'm the photographer who never gets to my own pictures!!! LOL) I think it's because I have always spoiled everyone...after every event they had pictures the. very. next. day....if not that same NIGHT!!!! gone are those days my lovelies!!! ;)

6.  I started going thru the wedding photos and am delighted with some and can totally see where I messed up on others so it will be awesome when she critiques them and tells me what I did wrong etc......

7.  Been scoping out a new lens......a girl can dream can't she!!???

8.  I've got nothing else because low and behold surgery day has come and it's tomorrow so finally it is at the top of my thought process and I am finally becoming a tad nervous.....

No More Mopey Mondays!!

Wow....how is time just seriously FLYING by!!!! Here we are back to Monday.....alREADy!!

1. Soooo yep, you are wondering....Did I 'SURVIVE' the wedding this weekend!!!! HELL to the yeah!!!! and OMG...the best experience, opportunity, learning environment....EVER!!!!! I am still overwhelmed at how absolutely wonderful Erin is/has been to me!!! I took umm...let's say 600 some photos!!! I'm not going to post any until I get the OKEY DOKEY from her, but I don't have a doubt that she won't have a problem with it at all!!! It was a lot of FUN, but A LOT of work!!! The lesson I learned from Saturday night - Wedding Photogs earn. every. penny. they. make!!!!!! I was EXHAUSTED when I got home but I wouldn't trade that night for anything!!!!

2. I am pleased to say I FINISHED all the cheer photos up in time for my Monday evening deadline!!! They turned out great! I got many lovely compliments that totally melted my heart!!! I LOVE happy moms! (and I may or may not have gotten a few leads from that shoot...I 'may' see a newborn in my future....toes and fingers crossed on that one!!! ;)

3. I am a little behind on my school work....which = STRESSED out Melanie...but I'm going to try to kick it into high gear!!!!

4.  oohhh last night while working on cheer photos I got a last minute call on doing head shot photos for some business cards!!! So today is turning out to be a SUPER BUSY CRAZY day....cleaning (my goal is to have everything cleaned and organized BEFORE my surgery)...a girl could wish can't she??! A doctor's appt, delivering cheer team photos and ending with a photo shoot!!!  I definitely am not bored!!! (however I am having withdrawals from all my 'trash' reality TV! I swear it's been like a week since I turned the television on!!!)

5.  So, it's only 2 DAYS until surgery day......thankfully I am so busy I seriously have NO time to even think/worry about it....maybe the morning of, it will finally hit me!!!!

Random Ramblings!

Helloo.....I'm BACK!! I soooo tried to make it for No More Mopey Mondays, but honestly time just got away from me!!! So we bi-passed Monday and we are on to the Rambling.........
  
1.  Vegas Vegas VEGAS!!!! What is there to say except we had a FANTABULOUS time with the absolute best friends 2 peeps could ever have!! Ate too much, may or may not have had a teeny tiny bit tooo much of vino, slept toooo LITTLE, but again......BEST TIME!!! I have not even began to touch.those.pics. yet so hopefully I will be able to post some this week.

2.  Did my cheer team photo shoot last night..... It was a lot of fun! Here is what you learn...cheerleaders may be the best models a photographer could have....They posed, they brought attitude, it was a lot of laughs, but this 'old lady' (remember a year older) was completely exHAUSTED afterwards!!! Those girls have energy and keeping up with them was a full time gig! I will be having shots from that shoot here in a few days!!! Super stoked to see how they turned out....stay tuned!

3.  Got another...yep, you read that right....A.N.O.T.H.E.R. photography inquiry....actually while we were driving back from Vegas!!!!! Woop woop!!! This one is totally different for me...It will be a commercial gig for a lovely lady who is starting her own business and needs her business materials photographed!!! I know I have said it before, but I am sooo grateful for all these wonderful opportunities!!!!

4.  Tomorrow is lunch with the wedding photog....WOW.....I can.NOT.believe. that this Saturday is the WEDDING!!!!! Scared, excited, nervous, giddy....just some of the emotions I'm feeling about that upcoming event.....(feeling like a bride on the morning of her wedding....:)

5. Speaking of weddings, my sister's wedding is less than 2 months away!!!! Wha WHaT!!?? Time is just flying by!!!! :)

6.  I have another shoot this Saturday for a family with dogs. This will be yet another new adventure! We'll see how I do with the furry family members!! Should be FUN!

7.  My birthday in VEGAS was one of the best I've had!!! Went to a Cirque de Soleil show, had amazing food, walked the strip taking WAY TOO MANY PHOTOS, saw things that will never.leave.my.memory, it was just an awesome night with friends!

8.  So much to finish up this week...feel an overdose on coffee coming....is it bad to have coffee all.day.?? Nah....

9.  Hard to imagine but only 17 days until the kiddos are out of school....oh, then the fun begins.....'I'm bored. I have nothing to do. etc. etc.' these are the chants I will here about 2 weeks after school is out and boredom sets in....GOOD TIMES! On a lighter note, no waking up early and NO packing lunches!! Yay!

10.  Surgery is next week already.....ugh....mixed emotions about that but just trying to keep positive!
